Blackberry Tablet

Being a Blackberry user and have use the iPad, I decided in the last discount, buy the 32 Gig model for $250

As all Blackberry's is well constructed, a good size, run fast, good OS, and did like the connection to the Blackberry phone via "Bridge" simple and good to write mail and BBM.

Its true that there not many programs, but I can do all basic things, plus watching TV shows etc. To me the only missing is Skype or a VoIP program.

I do like this tablet find it useful specially for Blakcberry users like me.

Blackberry 9360 Curve GSM

I find Blackberry a very useful, well made simple phone, that has BBM to text friends and family, good simple mail, keyboard, and several program for easy international calls. Such as Google voice (while in the US), Rebtel, Vyke, Gloobo etc.
My Blackberry is a complement to my iPhone or Android, a good communicator for every day use. With the App World store, you can complement your usage
This BB has a better camera, browser, memory etc.

As a general comment I consider Blackberry should go alone in its changes and concentrate in their market even if its not as big as before, but its a good alternative to us consumers.

VoIP or Skype in Windows Mobile 7

Its incredible that Skype does not exist in WM, I wrote this comment in Skype Blog:

My question is Windows 7.5 VoIP capable? Is that the problem? There are no VoIP Apps in WM have you noticed! Incredible no VoIP in the OS! Where do they live. Seems WM is XIX OS!

Mobile Dual Sim

Nokia just came out with some "Dual Sim Phones" after reading the specification I notice lack of bands 900~1800 among other .
My favorite is Samsung Chat 322. It's Edge for data, but both Sim Cards are quadband. Plus you have exchange to sync your mail and contacts among other features, plus "qwerty" keyboard.

Seems to me Nokia its behind, even been good phones.

Update: Since this post Samsung has announce two new "dual SIM Phones" with Android and WiFi, will review the model with "keyboard" should be available in the first quarter of the year.

Nokia XP 5800 GPS for Cycling

I have been looking for ways to improve my mapping (gps) on certain routes that I'm not familiar or that are small country roads.

I use a Garmin Edge 500 for all cycling needs and heart rate monitor, but I need maps under certain situations, I have to alternatives the Garmin Edge 705 (will review later) or the Edge 800 which I find very expensive, and not sure of the screen on sun light.

Another solution is the Nokia with a support I got from Amazon made specially.

After a few ride test I found that Nokia maps works well here in France (64) small road that you preload, also you can create a route choosing points in the map (very important) so you wont get lost in your ride. Also you can make a ride in un-known areas.

Also using the Nokia as GPS has some added advantages of a phone, with a BT ear you can make or get calls, or when you stop, you can take pictures etc. You will have more than speeding for the Garmin 705 or 800.

This is an alternative and just wanted to share my impressions

Windows Phone 7 Voip

Got an LG E900 Windows mobile phone.

Its my first LG and I'm very happy with the hardware, WP its in its infancy but it well done, lacks good Apps, and to me the most important no call via Voip, so its half phone.

All this will improve, but we aware Microsoft promises thing that never come, in this case probably with Nokia, the Voip and maps will be up to par at the end of the year.

Will do a further review when major changes come.

Being one of the financial Paper's its hard to have a subscription to read it, prices are terrible.

1- Paper edition is big, so I can not read on planes and trains, in my case its not practical since I live in the country in France, it will arrive on mail two three days late. And its ver expensive.

And not PDF to download at any price.

2- Digital, my perfect solution a problem again.

A free subscription only ten articles a month, but the horrible if you want to pay only choice is then US221 a year! But I just want some more articles! There is no middle ground.

I suppose they are happy with there sales, but it shame to make a good paper and market it, in such a limited way.

The Siemens Phone Base allows a fixed line and IP configuration for up to 5 lines. You can add extension and you can program them to who receives what number, and who is your default out number. But you can dial out any line.

I had the Siemens C450IP but the C470IP is a great improvement, its a well keep secret!

All can be programed in a Web page that connects to the base, fast and easy.

Got one in the US unlocked, one upgrade of the OS has come, but being good, the OS freezes for a while often.

The Market has some good applications, but most of them are not original from the company. But improving.

I suppose in time it will get better, and those rough edges will improve.

Nokia E71 and languages

Incredible that limits languages, I got a Spanish model and can not add French, incredible. If I put French in France I have to change the "keyboard" and I loose the Spanish. I need English, Spanish and French.

Maybe I should avoid Nokia and only use an iPhone

Desde hace tiempo vengo siguiendo esta tecnología, es util en conferencias hacer entrevistas, o pasar información de exposiciones que se visitan etc, tiene muchos usos, se une bien a twitter, para hacer gráfico algo que se quiere enseñar.
